Isaiah 46:10 "I make know the end from the beginning, for ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'"

Psalm 139:16 "You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.'

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."

God knows everything that will ever happen. He sees exactly where we are at any given moment in history yet He knows the beginning from the end. He knew that man would fail in the garden. He knew man's failure would be perpetuated throughout history. But He also always had a solution for man's failure, found in his Son, Jesus, who came to give his life so that we would have the capability of new life. His life in us to carry out His great plans and purposes.

He knows what is to come. He designed each and every one of us with purpose and although we have free will and choice, He is also sovereign and directs our steps--even if we don't realize it. He formed us and made us and He calls us His masterpiece. He created us to do good things planned long before we were ever born. I often ask myself, "Why here and why now?" Thinking that life might have been easier in a different time period. But truly, God knew when to place me on this earth. He knew and created me with purpose that was needed for the here and now. He designed me and you with the end in mind.

For a very long time I wrestled with the idea of evening having a divine purpose. A purpose that can only be carried out with God's help. For we cannot fulfill the purposes of God without His revelation and wisdom, grace to empower us, and heart for people. When I think about this and how God made every person this way--I'm amazed! We are all unique in our personality and talents. We all have unique passions and desires. We all have a different way of relating to the world. He designed us to fulfill some part of His overall plan. Will we cooperate? Will we desire the things of God? Will we seek His will over our own? Will we fulfill what He's called us to? The choice is ours to make.
